Welcome

So who am I? I am a black woman of African descent, born in the UK, married to a lovely Welsh bloke with 3 even lovelier kids! So here 's the thing: I love living in the UK, but I have one major issue, and that is that for most of my life it has been exceptionally difficult to find hair and beauty products that are right for me. Black skin comes in a range of beautiful colours from the very light to the very dark; however, this fact appears to be lost on the majority of shops selling cosmetics. It doesn't necessarily mean that the products are not out there, but just that you often have to search hard to find them.

For this reason I am setting out on a quest to find the best products, for black women, that make us feel gorgeous.

The products may not be specifically produced for black women, so I hope that all women will find some of the products appealing.

I will test anything and everthing on myself, my family and friends and anyone else who is willing. I want to share this journey and my experiences with you, so hence the blog.

I would like this to be an interactive forum; I would love to hear from you so that we can share views and information. Tell me which products you can't live without, which ones you hate, and what you need but can't find. Leave a comment or contact me at zelda.wolfle@googlemail.com Why not climb on board - I hope you enjoy the ride!

Dreadworx

Dreadworx is my favourite site for all things dread so I was very pleased when the founder of Dreadworx Edd Smith agreed to answer some questions that I put to him:

What inspired you to start Dreadworx and how did you go about setting it up
When I finished school I had no idea what to do with my life, so I did the one thing I knew I could do - sell stuff. I was an entrepreneur from childhood and it just made sense.

What would you say you have learnt from building this business
Put simply, saying I had learnt a lot would be an understatement

What is your favourite product and why
Dread Fusion Soap, we had a hand in it's making, it smells great and makes your dreads look and feel super! Coming to the website very soon (this Monday I think)

What is the one thing you would like everyone to know about Dreadworx
We love what we do and no matter how busy we get, we really do always have the customers best interests at heart and we love each and everyone of you
