Welcome

So who am I? I am a black woman of African descent, born in the UK, married to a lovely Welsh bloke with 3 even lovelier kids! So here 's the thing: I love living in the UK, but I have one major issue, and that is that for most of my life it has been exceptionally difficult to find hair and beauty products that are right for me. Black skin comes in a range of beautiful colours from the very light to the very dark; however, this fact appears to be lost on the majority of shops selling cosmetics. It doesn't necessarily mean that the products are not out there, but just that you often have to search hard to find them.

For this reason I am setting out on a quest to find the best products, for black women, that make us feel gorgeous.

The products may not be specifically produced for black women, so I hope that all women will find some of the products appealing.

I will test anything and everthing on myself, my family and friends and anyone else who is willing. I want to share this journey and my experiences with you, so hence the blog.

Dread Butta



For those of you with funky locs I have the perfect thing for you; its Dread Head HQ's Dread-Butta. This is a natural moisturiser that smells divine and actually does what it says it will, leaving your locs super silky and minimizing frizz. Its £10.49 a tub and can be purchased from www.dreadworx.co.uk which has loads of fab stuff . By far the best product I have come across for lovely locs.
