Becca Cosmetics state that they have created a range of skin perfecting products to suit all skin tones and ethnicities, from the fairest to the darkest complexions. To back this up they list 12 skin tone categories from Renee Zellwegger at one end of the spectrum to Alec Wek at the other.
Becca Stick FoundationBeing naturally sceptical, I did not think that Becca would be able to provide me with a foundation that would look good and match my dark skin tone. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The colour recommended for me was espresso, and it was a very good match. It also felt light on the skin, like wearing very little make-up, but far from being the Emperor's new clothes it is the real deal. Now I am sure that I am not on my own when I say that I have used a variety of foundations that have been heavy and messy and get all over your hands throughout the day; not the case with this foundation.
At £35 pounds it is an expensive purchase, but my use of this product over the last week has convinced me it is definitely worth the money. Becca recommend that you use their foundation with a primer and a finishing powder to get the best effect and I will be investing in these in the near future. Hats off to Becca for providing a range that is inclusive of all women and celebrates the beauty of diversity. And what lovely packaging!
